Twin Mystery. To many people artists seem
undisciplined and lawless.
Such laziness, with such great gifts,
seems little short of crime.
One mystery is how they make
the things they make so flawless;
another, what they're doing with
their energy and time.

-Piet Hein, poet and scientist (1905-1996)

I read the book Agony and Ecstasy which is about the life of Michelangelo. He was one of the most disciplined, hard-working individuals.

I think the thing is that some of the creative process is hard but it's in the head.

As a writer, my writing is better when I put in A LOT of effort; reading, researching, thinking, writing, re-writing, editing, and so on.

But it's true that sometimes, when one is thinking, you just look like a spaced out zombie!
