easy peasy

I tried Three Bears' Little Boxy Pouch tutorial out today
and wow... it was so easy to follow and the results were
amazing. Great tutorial! I tweeked the measurements
and made a pouch for my sister's digital camera. Lined
the inside with terry towelling. Nice and poofy!

soccer dreams

my soccer-crazy sister needed a new bolster cover
so i made one using one of her old soccer jerseys.
I used bootlaces for the ties at the ends. No worries,
mud and grass were absent. Sweet soccer dreams!

i chanced upon this exhibition at Basheercityroom gallery during
lunch today... Oh boy, i was so excited!! Buddy n i went "awww..."
&"ahhhh..." & "ohhhh...." & "woooo...." the whole time. Choosing
an apple was hard for Buddy but for me, i immediately connected
with the who was showing his teeth... ah, perfect expression. haha....
Buddy settled for the demure looking one. So pretty, it has eyelashes
too! Mine looks nervous taking a photo with her. :D We couldn't stop
taking photos... happy day!

waiting!

i bought fabric off my friend leslie's etsy site yesterday :)
the prettiest pieces... some are vinyl coated too! Something i've
been wishing for. Can't wait for the package to arrive!! Woo Hoo!
Till then, i shall continue dreaming of bags and purses, pouches
and yeah, more bags in those pretty fabrics... *sigh*

i tried....

i thought i'd try my hand at knitting.. so i got all excited
and headed out to buy skiens of yarn, knitting needles..
and more yarn. This is the furthest i got to a scarf...
you're right, it isn't even close. i went back to sewing :)

that bag

My proudest project! Comfy enough to wear :)
a friend's torn t-shirt finds new life as a bag. Straps
look kinda flimsy but hey, it's been tested... and it
can take a lot. (just ask mr B, ha!)

my first attempt at sewing zippers )! The sushi
graphic was printed on fabric transfer paper and
ironed on.

My first purse after zipper success :)

i was on my usual walks in Spotlight when i spotted (ha!)
these snap buttons!! I was so thrilled.. I've always wondered
how you attached them to fabric and found that amazingly
easy!! I adore these white snap buttons to death... They
make the purse look like the face of a robot!

*perfect*

scissors, thimble and bobbin.. *sweet*... toughened up w a scull too!
